Issue #3 Is GO!
High folks! Threat Record Issue #3 is up, and ready for download. This issue marks a turning point for the magazine as we broaden our coverage to other gaming systems, most notably OpenD6 from West End Games, and Mutant Future from Goblinoid Games. Don’t worry, there is still a ton of 4C goodness between the covers!
Inside, you get COMBAT, a new secret organization that was developed to fight both organized crime, and terrorism. Four of the 4C NPCs are members of COMBAT Team 37, the elite special team of the organization. Next comes the first half of a piece of short fiction titled Opening Night at the Palace in which we follow a team of interstellar mercenaries as they storm in on their latest tour of duty. Following this, we get a taste of the crew’s starship, and equipment, all statted up under the OpenD6 Space rules set, including new templates based on the characters from the story. Next up, a trio of terrible terrors from the wastes of a Mutant Future, the superb post-apocalyptic role-playing game from Goblinoid Games. There’s a new mental mutation lurking in the ruins of the ancients there too! Then there’s Variations, a new feature column that introduces new rules, or variants of existing ones. In this issue, we are treated to an upgrade to Bill Browne’s Point-Buy character creation rules, and an addition to the optional Skill Levels rules, by Curt Meyer. And finally, we have two 4C products from Vigilance Press up for inspection in the In Review column. Both are from their World Metahuman Factbook series. The first covers Germany, and is penned by Charles Rice, the second covers Australia, authored by Bill Browne. Both products are great additions to your 4C arsenal.
There you have it! Plenty of gaming goodness all in one source. Make Threat Record your go-to game supplement for fresh ideas that will spice up your night!
